Introducing the Beatles

VJ Records

Up for auction is an Original VJ Records release: Introducing the Beatles.  We are not experts on LPs and will simply attempt to give you enough information to determine the specifics of this record.

The cover of the record is in great condition and shows a picture of the band.  The discoloration on the right side is NOT a stain, it is George's Shadow.  The title at the top reads: "introducing...THE BEATLES: Englands No.1 Vocal Group".  There is a Vee Jay Records symbol beneath this, all black and within an oval.  On the lower right can be found "LP 1062".  In tiny letters just to the right of the title someone has written their name in Pen.  The lower right corner shows some wear and the lower left very minor.  The top two corners are nearly perfect.

The writing on the spine can be eaisily read and is appears to be in impeccible shape.  The back of the record has a VJ Records symbol in brackets and a track listing.  On the upper right is this "VJLP 1062".  There is a slight stain on the lower left corner, about 1 inch.  The track list is as follows:

Side One:

• I Saw Her Standing There
• Misery
• Anna
• Chains
• Boys
• Love Me Do

Side Two:

• P.S. I Love You
• Baby It's You
• Do You Want to Know a Secret?
• A Taste of Honey
• There's a Place
• Twist and Shout

The Record itself appears to us to be in excellent condition.  But again, we are NOT record experts.  There is a circular rainbow of colors around the center.  There is a Vee Jay Symbol in a red oval, not brackets, near the center.  These numbers can be found to the left of the hole "VJLP 1062" and "63-3402".

Also this can be found in the smooth black surface between the sound ridges and the center, "63-3402", a little triangle symbol followed by "5702-X" and a capital "A".   There appears to be no writing on the sleeve or on the record.

Also included is a "Special Beatles Issue" of something called the "National Record News" see the pictures for more on this.

We believe this is the Mono version from 1964, but hopefully this can be determined by you based on the information provided and the pictures.  Make sure to take a good look at them, as that will tell you exactly what you will be recieving.

Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!
