In Conference Harry Miller (Ogun stereo OG 523)
South African-born Harry Miller was a great bassist but, as well, a courageous artist/producer who had plans to develop Ogun into a force for true innovative collaboration on the European avant-garde scene. In Conference brought together saxophonists who had never played together before; while that insured that the music would be creatively daring, he brought a great rhythm section with long experience together in providing tasteful support.
The record stands as one of a kind, as Miller's artistic vision as musician and producer were cut abruptly short when he was killed in an auto accident in 1983.
I was living in London at the time, and as soon as I heard the news, I went to the shop and bought this LP.
Personnel: Miller (b, leader) with Willem Breuker (ss, ts, b cl); Trevor Watts (ss, as); Keith Tippett (p); Louis Moholo (d); and Julie Tippetts (vcl).
Condition:LP is NM: Near Mint, No Marks. No spindle wear; played once. Flat edge. In original paper sleeve.
LP cover is clean, front and back, with only a thin line of wear showing around the edges. Front cover color photo of Miller is very sharp. Cover has no bumps, bends, or creases. Spine is perfect, with identifying text clear and legible.
I'm an independent seller, divesting his personal collection. Mine is the best price on auction on Ebay a.t.o.p. (at time of posting).
Shipping: Ebay requires seller to indicate shipping methods and other particulars, then automatically inserts the cost at the top of the listing. Buyer will pay just the amount as determined by destination and shipping method he chooses; I don't pad the cost for more profit. (USPS Media Mail is cheapest; I will provide prices for US Priority, or for FedEx or UPS ground, if requested.)
Insurance is mandatory.
Please wait till I inform you of cost prior to submitting payment. It and not Ebay's stated cost is the amount to be paid.
**For winners outside US**: USPS shipping options are International Priority and International Express. Both methods include insurance but only Express has tracking. If you want a different shipper, I will quote you the cost at end of auction.
Packing: I will pack LP outside jacket if requested. I use bubble wrap and standard, sturdy-cardboard LP mailers.
Payment: I accept Paypal. I also accept cash in cases of in-person deliveries.
Returns: Returns will be accepted in cases of error in description.

Note on condition: I grade records visually. Following are the definitions of the grading that I use:
N A record known to be new. This includes factory sealed records.
NM A record known or assumed to have been played. May have a surface scuff mark but only from removing and reinserting record in sleeve. May have slight spindle wear. Otherwise, appears same as N in all respects.
VG++ More handling marks visible than on N-, but should play like a new record.
VG+ No more than a few minor scratches or marks which are audible. Such scratches or other defects will usually be described in specific detail. Record will usually not have any groove wear.
VG More than a few minor audible defects, but no steady noise. No appreciable groove wear.
