Description
Here is a great pairing of Idris Muhammad's seminal albums: Power of Soul and House of the Rising Sun. Both original KUDU releases produced by Creed Taylor. Drummer Muhammad appears on other leaders' LPs, notably Pharoah Sanders' disks, but here he is the leader. He could get pretty much any sidemen he wanted. Eric Gale, Joe Beck, Mike and Randy Brecker, David Sanborn, Patti Austin all make appearances on one or both LPs. Both engineered by RVG. Hate to sell them.
Records have been through the MKII spin-cleaner and play-graded start to finish as VG+. Covers are similarly nice--at least VG+. No ring wear, minimal shelf wear, corners only lightly bumped. House of the Rising Sun has a bit of the back slick corner coming up, but easily glued back if the buyer cares.
