Description

Original US pressing on the Tetragrammaton label from 1968. White label promotional copy. The sleeve is in excellent- condition (the torn off promo sticker caused damage - see image for details) and the record is excellent.

This California trio had a sound similar to Jefferson Airplane (not surprising considering their producer was Al Schmitt, the Airplane producer) with powerful female vocals by Chris Christman. An excellent example of the American tough psychedelic sound with some great fuzz guitar / organ interplay on the best track Silver Rains. All their material was written by Chris Christman and Kenny Thomure, Mike McAuley being also credited for Silver Rains and Wark on Last Laugh. None of the group members appear to have played in any documented group before or after Ivory. Recommended.
Excellent psych rock with fuzz, mixed vocals.
Another good co-ed Airplane-influenced band. Decent fuzz guitar on most songs, though a few ballads are highlights (Losin’ Hold is the best song here). This isn’t as experimental or as varied as, say, Ill Wind, but the songwriting is quite good and the sound very appealing. If you’re a fan of stuff like Yankee Dollar, Art of Lovin, Genesis, etc you’re sure to like this.
