Quadraphonic recordings of the early 70's died a slow and agonizing death because of their hopeless incompatibility with the existing stereo and mono equipment (they can be played on stereo equipment, but not to the full effect), but they live on in the hearts of the collectors, and for good reason: some of the finest audiophile recordings ever made - whether rock, soul or classical, were released on some of these, little known and poorly advertised, albums. And, what a gorgeous presentation these recordings are: with rich audio-textures and stunning multi-channel separation which is truly a jaw-dropping, head-spinning experience.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire this great album in its FINEST audio format, no longer in print, and no longer easily obtainable. Finding a still sealed original copy?!?! Forget it – not even a HOPE!!! This may be the last one you will ever see.

This classic "blaxploitation" soundtrack not only defined the entire musical genre, but gave Isaac Hayes' fame and fortune a new lease on life, which he - sure enough – still milks for all its worth. If you live in New York, you have probably heard Isaac's voice in the local taxies telling you to buckle up, as he "does not want you to get a SHAFT". Hmmm.  Smart… The funky riff of this soundtrack is simply timeless, and one of the most memorable musical themes of all times. This album rarely shows up in good condition (it is usually partied over ad nauseam) and finding it still sealed is a rarity of the highest order.

(a)           THE ALBUM IS STILL FACTORY SEALED AND IS BELIEVED TO BE PERFECTLY MINT. Please note: sealed items are assumed to be mint and are sold as-is, as we have no way of inspecting them. For our policy on still sealed records ►click here (PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING A BID).

(b)          The records are believed to come in their original stock inner sleeves

(c)           The records are pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)          Quad  pressing of this title is much rarer, and by far more preferable to its Stereo  counterpart. The mix is more graphic, the sound resolution more precise, and the 4-way channel separation (which does not exist on Stereo version) adds a whole new dimension to the music. Also, the Quad mixes are (by definition) somewhat different than on the Stereo version. We estimate that Stereo copies of this album outnumber Quad copies  by a ratio of at least 10:1.

(e)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
