Description

That's correct, this 7" test pressing of the Iron Maiden song "Running Free" is dated (on it's white sleeve) 28 JAN 1980, almost 1 month before "Running Free" was released as a single (23 FEB 1980), and almost 3 months before the release of their first full length album (14 APR 1980)!!

The trail-off vinyl has the stamped matrix code EMI 5032 A - 2U.

The original white sleeve has some wear and yellowing, mainly along the left side. The upper left states EMI 5032A, 28 JAN 1980, with what appears to be some initials.

The record is VG++ (just shy of near mint) with some very light imperfections. you can tell this record has only been played 1 or 2 times, with all of it's original shine and luster intact. It plays AWESOME!! The other side has no music on it. The only way I knew this was an Iron Maiden record was the words "IRON MAIDEN 'A' " written on the all white label.

I purchased this record from a retired UK record executive, who has all types of UK albums and 45s that he has lovingly saved, and has only now begun to part with. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!!

Do not pass on this rare piece of Hard Rock History!!
