MEGA RARE SOUTH AFRICAN ONE SIDED 7" ACETATE!!

Welcome to the re-listing of this extremely rare record auction.

Apologies to all of you who were either bidding or watching this previously. Ebay decided to remove the item as I didn't offer Paypal as a form of payment!!! Nice of them to tell me....they just removed it completely and I've been away for a few days! So..here it is again for all of you who are interested!!!

The auction is for a one sided 7" acetate featuring an special radio edit of Iron Maiden's classic 1984 track 'The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner'' !!

This has to be one of the rarest Iron Maiden items ever auctioned!!!

This acetate dates back to 1984 and was produced by EMI Brigadiers in South Africa who were considering possible single releases to be lifted from their 'Powerslave' LP.

This exclusive edit runs for around 4 minutes and 5 seconds and is obviously much shorter than the album version that runs for 13 minutes and 45 seconds!!

There is no catalogue number on this disc, label or on the run off groove for this one! 

Please be assured that this fantastic item is 100% authentic. I have been trading and dealing in rare records for the past 15 years now. Please feel free to also check out my feedback and bid with confidence. This disc was played once and once only before being recorded to CD.

This disc was part of a collection purchased from a man who had worked in the music industry for many years.    The record itself plays at 33RPM, is in VG++ condition and is housed in a EMI Brigadiers company die cut sleeve.   This is without a doubt one of the rarest Iron Maiden items in existence. Not only is it an acetate from the golden Maiden era but also because this radio edit of 'The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner' was never released commercially as a single anywhere in the world and 24 years on has still never been issued!!   This is a totally ONE OFF and very special pressing!!!   The starting price of this auction reflects the rarity of the item.
