INDIAN SUMMER - SELF TITLED MATRIX: ZGBS 0491-3/0492-3 Year: 1971 Cat: NE 3

On offer here is a rarely seen copy of this minor prog classic on the RCA Neon label. Signed by the same management as Black Sabbath, the gatefold sleeve has echoes of Paranoid in its design.
The thick cardboard gatefold sleeve is flat with wear mainly concentrated to the top and bottom edges which have rubbed through the colour, more particular on the bottom.The spine is still rigid intact and quite legible - see pic. The sleeve opening has very little feathering. Slight ringwear towards the top of front and rear. Inside the gatefold is clean and unmarked with slight vertical creasing where the record has been stored. Sleeve looks quite respectable - Graded VG
Original black diecut paper inner is flat and virtually uncreased. Small seam split about 8cm long to one side. Graded VG.
The vinyl has a good gloss but also some signs of wear. Side 1 has a mark across Track 4 which does cause some noise early and late in the track. The rest of this side has low level noise in quiet passages and between tracks . Visually graded VG, playgraded VG- Side 2 has scuffing right on the very edge which does not affect play. Otherwise there are some pops on Track 3 and low level noise as in Side 1. Visually and playgraded VG.
So not a perfect copy but quite playable allowing for the faults above and its rarity.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

+ or - indicates a grading in between categories
