We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. ....The seldom EVER seen "ILLUSION RECORDS" local Florida pressing of the BREAKOUT album by the BLUES IMAGE who scored the excellent surprise hit "Ride Captain Ride" ...on this album...

Based in Hollywood, Florida, former Blues Image, Iron Butterfly, Ramatam, and Thee Image singer/guitarist Mike Pinera was apparently the brainchild behind the short-lived and rather mysterious Illusion label. While never seening anything that definitively proves Illusion was a tax-scam label, it sure seems to fit the pattern - releasing a handful of albums (including several Blues Image efforts) during the '70s timeframe with virtually no publicity.

When Blues Image launched into their 1970 chart smash, 'Ride Captain Ride', the smoking lamp was lit up ! And, with their subtle use of Latin Rhythms, featuring tantalizing fret-board guitar work by Mike Pinera and the addictive conga drums of Joe Lala, this Tampa, Fla. combo proved themselves anything but a one hit wonder on their out of nowhere classic, "Open"

Blues Image's second album was their most successful, in large part because of the inclusion of their huge hit single "Ride Captain Ride." The rest of the record, however, shows them to be a band in search of a more individual voice, borrowing heavily as it does from Jimi Hendrix ("Love Is the Answer," "Pay My Dues"), Creedence Clearwater Revival ("Running the Water"),
any number of average blues-rock bands ("Clean Love"), and the Latin-rock fusion of Santana
("La Bamba," "Consuelate," and the instrumental "Wrath of Daisey"). Those familiar only with "Ride Captain Ride" might be surprised at the band's versatility, which took in blues, Latin, and hard rock, though not in as even or striking a mixture as, say, Santana. It's a pedestrian form of versatility, though, with none of the other songs possessing the pop hooks of "Ride Captain Ride...

CONDITION: The cover:  The colorful cover is solid all over: rated: M-- front cover and VG++ back cover which is impossible to find any better (extremely wear prone) ...here a keeper copy  = really special as the album is a rare $$$-valued find in ANY condition! Here a survivor...you won't easily find a better copy! Flat & squae with 4 sharp corners ...Has No split seams, no bends, no delete marks and no writing. 

The vinyl: All glossy clean on both sides CLEAN M- TOP COPY plays quite enjoyable without audio problem... both ILLUSION labels are clean!
