On offer is a excellent pressing of Howlin Wolf's 'Poor Boy', released in 1965 on the Chess label, in the USA this album was titles 'Real Folk Blues' and had a different cover, this is however the UK original and I think only release. This is a brilliant blues album and is made up of some of his early chess material, it is part of the set of 'Real Folk Blues releases by seeveral of the reknown Chess artistes. Howlin Wolf released only a handful of albums and although not quite on a par with the first two Chess LP's it remains a must have Chicago blues album. It comes from our own collection and has been well cared for.
The vinyl is graded Excellent and is very clean, although there are spindle marks indicating it has had a handful of plays there are no visable scratches or defects at all. Playback is excellent!
The front laminated flipback sleeve is very nice and clean. The reverse is excellent and clean. The spine is solid and all text is legible.
Gold on Black Labels are Excellent with spindle marks indicating a handful of plays.
Original poly-lined Blue promotional inner sleeve is Excellent.
