Hoke Rice 78
Label: Broadway Records #8164...
Category: Country - Early Country - Pre-War
Point Scale: 7, or VG condition. Nice and clean shellac, with no cracks, and no major damages... It looks like there is about 3 small digs on the A-side. The disc lays flat and plays out very well. I only notice some lite marks, and of course there is some tiny and lite surface variety scratches... The record plays just fine, but there is some surface hiss, and crackles.

Comments: This is a very obscure, and very rare disc!!! This is a very early example of Country Music! Hoke Rice was known for his unique guitar playing abilities! Really not much else is known about ol' Hoke... Hoke did play with various groups, and one such group was Gid Tanner and His Skillet Lickers! Hoke played guitar, and did much of the singing with those ol' boys! I was blown away when I discovered this historic record! Finding another one would be extremely hard to do (if not impossible by now), and this disc is in player condition! SUPER RARE! THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!
