Blue Note Records BLP 1584, this is an original US mono pressing - NOT a recent reissue - of the classic Louis Smith LP "Here Comes Louis Smith". This pressing has the deep groove labels on both sides, with the "47 West 63rd NYC" address notation; "RVG" is clearly etched in the dead wax on both sides, as is the infamous "ear" symbol. There are no "R" registration notations on labels, nor on the back of the jacket. Dead wax reads "BN-LP-1584-A-1" on side 1, and "BN-LP-1538-B-1" on side 2; there is no "9M" in said dead wax. Jacket grades about EX (Excellent), showing some minor rubbing and handling/corner bumping; edges and seams are all intact with no repairs. There are a few small brown stains at top center front/edge that I took a close up photo of, and some additional minor ring wear on front/back. LP is a shiny and clean EX/VG++, as it shows some minor sleeve/surface lines on either side. Playback is solid throughout, with some faint crackle during a few quieter interludes and between some tracks, but nothing of much note; classic blue and white labels are crisp with no spindle wear.
