Description

(Hear) 1959 Ozark Mountain Trio (John Hartford) Bluegrass EP

Ozark Mountain Trio – “Way is Narrow” + “When I Feel the Hand of My Savior” b/w “That Great Day is Surely Coming” b/w “Jesus Love Everybody” (Shanon 201). Great and scare EP by a young John Harford (he added the T to his name after the move to Nashville), Don Brown, and Norman Ford on the small St Louis based label. Hartford was raised in the St Louis area and whiel a college student played with the Dillards, the Bray Brothers and the Ozark Mountain Trio before moving to Tennessee in 1965 to take a job as a disc jockey. The record features four gospel bluegrass cuts (Listen to a little of one of John’s earliest compositions featuring him on banjo) and is in strong VG to VG+ condition (has a name stamped on one label). Postage will be paid by purchaser.
