Description
Head Machine - Orgasm 1970 Major Minor SMLP 79 This is one of the UK's Progressive Rock rarest and most desirable LP in the harder end of the genre. This is a truly great LP, and a very rare one at that. Most of the tracks are heavy with great guitar, but Make The Feeling Last is gentlier with psych style echoed vocals, as is The Girl Who Loved The Girl Who Loved, which has plenty of background organ. The whole LP is based around a sexual theory, as clearly indicated by the titles and almost appears to be a concept based album, centered around somebody losing their vaginity. Tracks Are:- Side 1:- 1). Climax, You Tried To Take It All 2). Make The Feeling Last 3). You Must Come With Me 4). The Girl Who Loved, The Girl Who Loved Side 2:- 1), Orgasm 2), The First Time 3), Scattering Seeds PERSONNEL Ken LESLIE (Ken Henslie) organ/piano/guitar and vocals John Leadhen bass guitar/vocals Brian and Lee POOLE drums Mike ROAD percussion Produced by David PARAMOR who also wrote the thracks and provided some vocals. Ken Henslie had previously been in the Gods, who had recorded two very desireable Psych/Prog LP's ,Genesis and To Samuel A Son, he was also in Toe Fat, another very collectable group before going on after this LP to join Uriah Heep. A very rare item, and I have seen mint copies fetch over £1000. CONDITION VINYL - Very Good - The vinyl looks initially excellent in normal light, nice and clean with ltd numbers of surface marks but it does have a couple of noticeable marks that can be felt. Playing, most of this LP plays superbly with very little surface noise But there are some defects. Side 1, Track 1 there is a click at the end of the track, there is a noticeable marks that causes some clicking towards the end of track three into the start of track four, which then sticks. I played through this three times, twice it just clicked and once it stuck so to be safe you will have to assume that it sticks. Side 2, there are some heavy clicks and a jump as the record starts but only for a few seconds followed by a few seconds lighter clicking then the track plays superbly, as does the rest of that side. LABELS - Both labels are clean and undamaged, but side one at the very top there is a tiny bit of writing in pen. Some wear aound spidal holes on both sides. COVER - The cover has no writing or tears or writing/stickers or sticker removals, there is some creasing and laminate 'bubble' to the front of the cover and age/storage wear to the unlaminated rear, very good-. See photos. A decent copy of this rare LP, much cleaner and shinier than the description makes it sound, a thorough grading and you will get no nasty suprises.

Please see my payment and postage and packaging information as shown below before bidding.
I use the record collector grading system when grading records with the addition of a + or - when appropriate in order to give the most accurate description possible.
All records are visually graded in normal light and under artificial light to ensure the item is correctly advertised and surface marks are not missed.
I have 15 years experience of collecting and grading records and as such do as much as possible to ensure buyers are happy with their purchase.
MINT
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items, such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD
The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.
FAIR
The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR
The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD
The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
NOTE - The gradings above differ from 'Goldmine' and other publications grading systems so please read before bidding.
Some of the items that I offer will be play-graded, but some will not. Therefore if the description does not state the record has been play graded then it has not been so. All play-graded descriptions will be based on how the vinyl sounds on my system.
