Description
This is a rare recording of Harry James for the BBC made in 1943 (see more details on photo of label). I have 2 other Harry James BBC acetates from 1942 for auction. Considering its age the acetate is in good condition with most of the damage to the non-playing side. I played this only once to limit the potential harm to the acetate and the sound is audible but with some background noise as you would expect for an item of this age and delicacy - please do not expect a perfectly play!
Plain sleeve is in good condition - see photos.
I have 4 other BBC recording acetates for auction - 2 more of Harry James, one of Duke Ellington and one of Art Tatum (see my listings).
I can send abroad but not to Russia or Italy as items have gone astray previously to these destinations. Combined postage is offered for multiple purchases but the items will have to be sent signed for, tracked and insured. PLEASE DISCUSS WITH ME POSTAGE COSTS AS I HAVE ENTERED A FLAT FEE OF £18.99 BUT THIS MAY VARY FROM COUNTRY TO COUNTRY. If you are not prepared to agree to these terms then please do not bid.

All of my records are posted in the first available post and records above £20 will be sent signed for. I also accept returns if the record differs from the description but please contact me directly first.

"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON POSTAGE COSTS: If you live outside mainland England, Wales, Glasgow and Edinburgh and the postage is more than £3 then extra delivery costs will be incurred. We are sorry to do this but it is because items larger than the Post Office small parcel restrictions (under 2kg, no larger than 45x35x15cms) incurs a significant extra charge for delivery to the UK outside of the areas listed above. In other words, Scottish Highlands and islands, channel islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man etc and Northern Ireland. Please contact us to before purchasing to send a paypal invoice for the extra amount which can be anything from £3 extra to £10 depending on the size and weight of the item,
