Description
Here is an Original RCA Victor 10 Inch (LPM 27) Mono issue of the Classic "Harp by Harpo" album. The LP features the Fabulous Harpo Marx playing his accomplished harp accompanied by the Raymond Sinatra Orchestra on six musical selections.
The song titles on Side One are:
1. Stardust - 2. Guardian Angel - 3. Chanson Dans La Nuit. Side Two - 1. Bourree - 2. Swanee River - 3. Tea for Two
As most record collector know, 10 LPs in decent condition are RARE because most people discarded the plastic inner sleeve. This Silver RCA labeled vinyl is in Very Good Condition and I would rate it a conservative 8 out of 10 as it play nicely with only a few pops or clicks. The cover is in Excellent Shape but has very slight bit of surface wear on the front and back, with only a tiny bit of split seams showing on the edges near the opening, certainly nothing major. The liner notes contain background information on Harpo's movie and musical career along with the a bit of performance history of the Marx Brothers. Pictured on the cover along with Harpo are Jack Benny, George Burns, William Bendix, Marie Wilson, and of course his brothers Groucho and Chico!
If you are a Marx Brothers fan DON'T let this Rare Autographed album pass you by! The LP cover is also signed "To Barbara, with xxxxxxx, Harpo." I obtained it directly from a woman who had it signed by Harpo in the 1950s.
