Hardline - Double Eclipse LP

MCA 10586

Original 1992 mega rare first press vinyl Europe only (never originally released in the US on viny).

sleeve is VG+ see pics. A small amount of edge wear but a very nice copy overall

disc is NM please see pictures. Looks like its only been played maybe once or twice, pristine grooves, no scratches. A couple of barely perceptable spindle marks are the only marks. May have some dust or fingerprint that will clean off as the only sign of handling.

Disc plays perfectly and sounds superb.

Hardline's 1992 debut album, Double Eclipse, is highly prized by melodic hard rock, metal and AOR collectors. Its value stems from its status as an untouchable genre masterpiece, powerhouse vocal performances, rare physical pressings, and the star power of its supergroup lineup.

The band was spearheaded by guitar icon Neal Schon (of Journey and Bad English) alongside brothers Johnny and Joey Gioeli, rounded out by drummer Deen Castronovo. Schon was "unchained" creatively, delivering heavy guitar thunder that elevated the tracks.

Johnny Gioeli's gritty yet melodic vocal performance is frequently cited by fans and reviewers as breathtaking and career-defining.

Tracks like "Takin' Me Down", "Rhythm from a Red Car", and their cover of "Hot Cherie" charted on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks, defining a fearless, emotional peak for 90s arena rock.

The album arrived in 1992 just as grunge was taking over. As a result, it had limited original vinyl production. Finding an original European pressing requires paying "hard currency" among audiophiles.
