Description
This is Contemporary Records C3515, Hampton Hawes Vol.2 This Is The Trio, a yellow, deep groove labeled original mono issue of this classic session featuring Red Mitchell. The record is in VG+ showing some light marks, but playing quietly except for occasional light background crackle in quiet spots. The laminated cover has some shelf wear and has Sample Record Not For Sale stamped on the front and back, but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels have the same stamp and a small tear on side 2. This would make an excellent initial "play" grade copy of this rare original. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be listing over the next few months. Please check our other listings.
