I'm listing a number of rare LP's this week that come from my private collection and will be listing many more in the coming weeks.

This listing is for a very rare and nearly impossible to find in this condition, original blues LP from the late 1950's featuring one of the blues greatest artists, HOWLIN' WOLF.

Howlin' Wolf - Moanin' in the Moonlight - Original 1959 Chess Records Mono LP 1434

This recording features many blues greats such as Ike Turner on guitar on one of the tracks and Hubert Sumlin on a number of the other tracks as well as Otis Spann on piano.

Original black, matte (not glossy) Chess Mono label with silver print.

The record has "Sheldon" machine stamp in the dead wax which is considered proof of authenticity of the first pressing.

Please note that unless otherwise noted, all records are graded visually and not play graded.

Condition:  The vinyl is in Near Mint Condition.  Side one has absolutely no spindle marks on the label that I can find.  Side two label has a couple of very 
light spindle marks.

The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick vinyl which is indicative of a first or very early pressing.  The vinyl has a couple of very light small abrasions and a couple of superficial sleeve scuffs which are barely visible and than only when viewed under a strong light.  These do not whatsoever affect the visual integrity or the beauty of the vinyl which has the original luster and shines and sparkles almost like new.

The cover is in VG++ to Excellent Condition with a minor fold and small split on the right lower corner of the opening.  The remainder of the cover is nice and clean with a bit of shelf wear on the upper and lower seams but nothing significant.  The spine is in near perfect condition.

The back of the jacket is in Beautiful Shape, very clean with no stains or other marks of any kind.

Please note:  A copy of this LP in very similar condition sold here on eBay just recently for $1,275.00 US.  However as with most of my auctions it is being listed without a reserve.

All records will be very well packaged and shipped in a proper record mailer.

Shipping:  I offer the following shipping options due to requirements of Paypal that a tracking number be supplied by the seller to Paypal as proof of shipment if a buyer puts in a claim for an item not received.

Canada:  All records will be shipped by Xpresspost at a cost of $10.00 US.

United States:  Auctions ending at less than $100.00 will be shipped by Small Packet (Air) at a cost of $12.00.  Auctions ending at $100.00 or higher will be shipped "Expedited-USA" which includes a tracking number at a cost of: $17.00 US.  Please be aware that "Expedited" is sent mostly by surface and therefore depending on your State this method could take up to three weeks for delivery.  If you wish to receive it quicker, the package can be shipped through "Xpresspost" which is sent by air and includes a tracking number at a cost of $29.00 US.

Overseas Shipping:  Auctions ending at less than $75.00 will be shipped by"Small Packet" (Air) at a cost of $19.00 US.  This is the quickest least expensive method but please note that there is no tracking number available for items shipped by this method.  Auctions ending at $75.00 or higher will only be shipped by Xpresspost which is quite expensive at approximately $65.00 US.  The cost does vary somewhat depending on the destination country therefore I will email the buyer with the final shipping cost at the end of the auction.

Insurance:  The first $100.00 is covered but anything above is $2.00 extra for every $100.00.  Insurance is highly recommended as I will not be responsible for items not insured for the appropriate amount.

Combined Shipping:  I will be glad to combine shipping in order to save on the shipping costs.  The combined shipping cost will be calculated on the total number of LPs and will be the exact amount that it costs me to ship the package.

Please Note:  I will not make exceptions to the above shipping methods.  I will not ship any item to ITALY or the RUSSIAN FEDERATION.  Please do not ask as I will not respond to your request.

Please accept my apologies for the lengthy shipping description but the reason for this is that my concern is that the buyer receives the items they have purchased without any problems.
