Rare original UK 1957 7" EP on the sought after tri-centre plum LONDON label, RE-U.1072

A great copy of this most sought after Howlin' Wolf classic.

Both sides of the vinyl gleam! The lacquered sheen is fully in evidence and a joy to behold and the overall appearance of both sides of the vinyl is truly excellent. Look closely and on side 2 and there are a couple of pencil thin wispy hairlines that are slightly more prominent, though you have to look hard to detect even these. Vinyl grooves remain distinct and well defined, and based upon appearance the condition of the vinyl comes across as excellent+.

 The overall quality of the audio is excellent. There is a hint of faint background interference but this is only really noticeable at the beginning and between tracks and even then is minimal and not detrimental to the overall excellent sound quality. The tracks are :

 Each label is near mint, as are the tri-centres. It's even hard to detect the usual faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole...even after a good look under a bright light I'm not sure that there are any. Near perfect.

The iconic, fully laminated outer sleeve is also excellent, with the front side retaining it's rich vibrant colouring. There is a little scuffing on the bottom edge and also the two corners of the spine but this is minimal. There is just a little (not obvious) fraying on the opening edge and held at the correct angle and in the right light the hint of some very mild ring wear comes into evidence on side 1. There is barely any laminate lifting nor is there creasing, and all writing on the reverse side is perfectly legible. 

I doubt that there are many copies of this highly sought after Howlin' Wolf EP in as good a condition as this.

Mint

Description: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent

Description: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packag­ing might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good

Description: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable sur­face marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good

Description: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Fair 

Description: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for prop­erly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor

Description: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad

Description: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
