Hello.  Thanks for looking at this auction.  I am currently in the process of trying to make my record collection lean and mean.  What does that mean?  My loss is your gain!

DESCRIPTION:

HORROR SHOW – “Our Design” Ink & Dagger cover (Deathwish, 2002)

This band really needs no introduction.  Any fan of hardcore within the last 5-6 years should know this group and the impact they had on the Philadelphia hardcore scene.   This is an incredibly rare version of the “Our Design” 7” on Deathwish, produced by the band itself and sold at a First Unitarian Church show in Philadelphia in April 2003.  Fans of Philadelphia hardcore recognize that the cover pays homage to a classic Philadelphia hardcore band, Ink & Dagger, by borrowing artwork from their “Drive this Stake . . .” EP on Initial Records.  

This record sparked some controversy several years ago when somebody was caught re-producing the cover and attempting to sell copies of the record at an inflated price.  I can assure you this is not a reproduction, but an original copy purchased from the band directly.  If further assurance is needed, I can arrange to have someone from the band confirm the authenticity.

GRADING:

All items are graded according to the standard record grading system:

MINT (M) 

The record is brand new with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The jacket and any extra items are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX) 

The record shows signs of having been played but there is negligible loss in sound quality. The jacket may have slight wear or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) 

The record has been played many times but shows no significant deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks – Infrequent clicks may occur, but without significantly denigrating the sound quality. Normal wear and tear on the jacket, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G) 

The record has been played enough that the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably and may have pops, crackle and some hiss. The jacket may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits or discoloration.

THE SMALL PRINT:

·          All records sold are original issue/pressings unless stated otherwise.

·          Because of some of the problems I have experienced with other forms of payment I will now only accept payment via PayPal.  Please do not bid if you cannot make your payment in this way.

·          All items must be paid for within 7 days of the auction closing. I feel that this is a reasonable amount of time in which to pay and it also makes my life much easier if everything from one auction is completed before the next one begins. If for some reason you cannot complete payment within 7 days please let me know (Don't just keep quiet).

·          And finally (and this one is obvious) please do not bid if you do not intend to actually buy the record. (As stange as it may seem this has happend a few times).

SHIPPING AND HANDLING:

I will professionally pack your record so as to ensure that it arrives to its destination without having suffered damage in transit.

Typically, I send records via the parcel post service, using the USPS.  If, however, you would prefer expediting shipping or use of another service, that can be arranged – at the appropriate cost.

Present S&H rates are as follow:

7”

·          1-2  Records:  $3.50 to USA and CANADA, $6.00 ELSEWHERE

·          3-4  Records:  $4.50 to USA and CANADA, $7.00 ELSEWHERE

·          5+ Records:  $5.00 base to USA and CANADA, $8.00 base ELSEWHERE; $.50 for every 7” above 5

·          7” Lots:  I will contact you individually to provide price; depends on the destination.

12”:

·          1 Record:  $4.25 to USA and CANADA;  $6.50  ELSEWHERE

·          2-3 Records:  $6.00  to USA and CANADA;  $7.50 ELSEWHERE

·          4 -5 Records:  $ 7.00 base to USA and CANADA;  $9.00 base ELSEWHERE; $1 for every 12” above 5.

Combined Shipping

·          Note that I do calculate shipping costs on an equitable basis when tallying appropriate postage prices.   Accordingly, if you purchase, for example, one 12” and one 7”, I will not charge you the separate rates for both media.  In that instance, I would likely only charge you for the cost of shipping the 12” and tack on $.50 for the 7”.

INSURANCE

Insurance is highly recommended, though optional.    Insurance is $1.70 for up to $50.00 coverage in the U.S.

If insurance is waived, please be aware that the buyer agrees to assume the risk of, and responsibility for, any damage or loss to the item once it is mailed.  Although insurance is not available for international orders, foreign buyers also assume the same risk of damage or loss.
