This is a very rare (the first copy I have seen for sale in many years !!!)  UK PUNK / POWER POP / MOD / SYNTH / INDIE / TWEE / C86 compilation entitled "HONEY FOR TEA - A SELECTION OF CAMBRIDGE BANDS" from... 1982 on WIMP RECORDS label, this is the ORIGINAL pressing and the first time I have seen this compilation for sale on Ebay in many years. AN ORIGINAL, AND A MUST !!!.
You might know the WIMP label form many of their rare PUNK / POWER POP / MOD / SYNTH MINIMAL single releases, but this album features many bands that never got to release any other products apart from the tracks on this compilation, and hence the only chance to get them will be this compilation, and believe me some of them are better then many of the single releases, or many other released singles, THESE TRACKS SHOULD BE COMPED on the KBD / POWERPEARLS or SYNTH compilations.

THE AMYL DUKES - UNIVERSE. - Punk sound
THE RAPIERS - BLAZE OF GLORY. - Great Indie Pop / Twee / C86 sound with female vocals.
HONDO - PARTY. - Ska sound
SUN LYN BAND - FEELS LIKE MAGIC. - Prog Rock sound.
SEVEN FIFTY FOUR - CIVILIZED WORLD.  - Power Pop / Punk sound.
THE INNOCENT BYSTANDERS - IN LOVE WITH EMOTION. - Power Pop / Punk sound, this band released 2 rare singles as well.


The compilation came out on the private WIMP RECORDS catalogue number WIMP 3 (X82CUS 1526) through the SRT pressing plant, a rare find and an ORIGINAL pressing !!!

The condition of the VINYL is NEAR MINT (played once !!!), PICTURE SLEEVE is VG+ (small sticker tear in the left hand corner, and minor bends).
