Here on auction is an impressive copy of arguably South Australia’s most progressive rock band (Fraternity fans may disagree).  Headband recorded this one album entitled Song for Tooley in 1973 on the Polydor label 2907008.  This album will be remembered for its creative and breath of fresh air approach especially when you consider that children’s voices were used in a couple of the songs to great effect.  For me the highlight is their psych masterpiece – Land of Supercars which features the great guitar work of Finland born guitarist Mauri Berg – also a legend in Adelaide’s 70s rock scene.

Condition

Vinyl: Some light marks but plays very nicely.  At worst sold VG to VG+ with barely any noise other than the mandatory occasional crackle and pop.

Cover and Insert: The Gatefold cover is close to excellent condition.

In all a great recording of Australian 70s progressive music, featuring the awesome guitarist Mauri Berg.  Collectors will be happy with the sound of the vinyl.
