WS 1852
OBSCURE British progressive rock band. This was their debut album, a good mixture of forceful progressive rock and more introspective material that touches the very fringes of the psych folk scene in places. Look out for Micky Dolan on guitar who I belive had something to do with Dando Shaft and the Youngblood label (he might have produced Elias Hulk). Used to be a regular of second hand bins in the late seventies then mysteriously dried up in the 80's and has become possitively rare by todays standards.
Produced by that bastion of good taste and gangsta-folk madness, Sandy Roberton for his wonderful September Productions (think Everyone, Steeleye Span and Plainsong amongst many, many others).
Tough to score in nice condition as the cover is one of those silver foil effect contraptions.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Superb clean condition. Pr*mo copy. No spindle marks and virtually no other signs of use - probably unplayed. Grades as MINT!
Cover: Issued in a 'silver foil' effect gatefold cover - the 'foil' is usually found rubbed and in bad condition but this one is in great shape. Only minor signs of use. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, a tiny hint of ring wear on the rear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is beautifully square, stiff and sharp. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 47 years after release. Grades as Ex+
