RECORDS GRADED VISUALLY
· SS Still Sealed: in factory-fresh condition.
· NM Near Mint: like new, looks unplayed.
· EX Excellent: close to like new with only superficial signs of use that dont affect play. Only well cared for records will grade out to EX. Will satisfy all but the most demanding collector.
· VG+ Very Good Plus: A few more marks than EX. Used but not abused. Superficial signs of use that dont affect play. Only well cared for records will grade out to VG+.
· VG Very Good: a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise or a few clicks or pops here and there, especially between tracks or during quiet passages. Still quite nice.
· VG- Very Good Minus: significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise. Audible clicks and pops may be consistently present.
· G Good. In the record world, 'Good' is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about records not taken care of. There is significant surface noise and scratches and/or visible groove wear. Constant background noise will be present. Buyer should view records with this grade as filler copies.
