Description
Artist/Title: “Hank Mobley and His All Stars”<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Label: BLUE NOTE 1544. Label address is “BLUE NOTE RECORDS * 47 WEST 63rd * NEW YORK 23” on both sides. Monaural pressing on heavy vinyl with deep groove. Matrix number and “RVG” are both hand-etched in runout area. “Ear” symbol is present on both sides. There is no "R" registry symbol on either side.
Address on reverse of jacket is “For Complete Catalog Write to BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 47 West 63RD St., New York 23.”
Year: 1956
Personnel:
Hank Mobley – tenor sax; Milt Jackson – vibes; Horace Silver – piano; Doug Watkins – bass; Art Blakey – drums.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is nice VG+ with nearly 100% of original gloss, plays closer to VG++. Has several scuffs, especially on Side 1, but no serious marks or problems. Fidelity is excellent as you can hear in the accompanying sound clips.
JACKET: Jacket is overall clean and nice; I would grade it at nice VG+ to VG++. Seams and spine show a bit of minor wear, but there are no splits or other problems. Corners are slightly bumped. Reverse has darkened a bit with age, but is free of any writing or stickers.
Track Listing:
Side One:
- Reunion
- Ultramarine
Side Two:
- Don’t Walk
- Lower Stratosphere
- Mobley’s Musings
