Description
Up for auction is a super clean copy of the Hank Mobley album "Hi Voltage" released on Blue Note Records (BST 84273) in 1967. This is an original, first pressing with "Blue Note Records - A Division of Liberty Records on the labels. "Vangelder" stamped in the dead wax. Come with original Blue Note/Liberty inner sleeve. This album was originally recorded in Stereo, so it is an original stereo recording not a mono recording remixed into stereo. Beautiful sound. No "ears" in the dead wax, but no copies of this record had the ears. All Blue Note records starting with 4228 were original Blue Note/Liberty pressings without the "ears". So this is a 100% original Blue Note pressing, guaranteed. The cover is in beautiful shape, bright graphics, NO ring wear, tears, seam splits. Sharp corners. Lower right corner has a tiny amount of rubbing loss. Back cover is super clean, no writing or ring wear, bone white. Does show a little bit of foxing/aging around a couple of the edges, but hardly distracting. I'd grade the cover Near Mint Minus (NM-). The vinyl looks super clean, no obvious scratches or scuffs. Maybe some very superficial signs of having been taken out of the paper inner sleeve. Clean labels, no marks around spindle holes. I play tested this copy and it sounds very nice, bright and clean sound. Nothing really distracting. Not audiophile perfect, but very clean nonetheless. I'd grade the vinyl as Near Mint (NM). A very collectible copy of this title, especially in this condition.
