Description
A one-of-a-kind and unusual collectible. This is a 10" metallic (acetate) test record of the instrumental tracks to 2 songs recorded by HANK BALLARD for King Records and James Brown Productions in 1968 or 1969, "Are You Lonely For Me Baby" and "With Your Sweet Lovin' Self". No Ballard vocals appear on this disc, just the instrumental tracks played by Brown's Cincinnati studio band which at times included The Dapps (Beau Dollar and Fat Eddie Setser) or a young Bootsy Collins' band. The labels refer to these as "TV Tracks", meaning the disc was used for television appearances during which Ballard would sing live vocals to this recorded accompaniment. Record has minor scratches and pops but is in very solid VG condition.
