Description
This is an extremely rare, original release, sealed copy of the 1987 banned edition of Appetite for Destruction on Geffen/Uzi Suicide. When this cover was being sold, GnR had not yet broken, but it was obvious to anyone who had heard the album that they would be huge. So when I heard that this cover had been banned, I immediately walked to BJ Records in Iowa City and bought the copies they had left. I recently found this copy, carefully stored with the rest of my albums. It has never been opened, and it is as perfect and mint as the day it was banned.
THIS IS A MINT CONDITION FACTORY SEALED FIRST RELEASE ORIGINAL U.S. PRESSING. It can be identified by the oval warning sticker, as opposed to the later pressing, released after they started getting popular, which had the square sticker talking about the "hit singles" Sweet Child o' Mine and Welcome to the Jungle as "Featured in the movie The Dead Pool." Reissues and non- U.S. copies have different or no stickers. THIS PRESSING IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND UNOPENED & UNDAMAGED. If you are a collector who has been looking for the definitive collector's copy of this album, this is it!
