Green Day – Dookie RIAA 9× Multi-Platinum Sales Award
Very reluctantly selling my original Green Day Dookie RIAA Multi-Platinum sales award, commemorating sales of more than 9,000,000 copies of the album.
I have owned this for approximately seven years and genuinely never intended to sell it. I am moving overseas and unfortunately need to significantly reduce what I take with me. I would love for it to go to another Green Day collector.
The award was presented to Phyllis Palmetto, who worked in promotion for Reprise Records during the Dookie era. Her employment with Reprise can be independently verified through contemporary music-industry publications.
The award features the Dookie artwork, gold CD, platinum/silver cassette, RIAA hologram plaque and original black presentation frame.
Condition
The front presents extremely well for its age – please see photographs.
There is historic moisture staining to the rear backing board, which is not visibly apparent from the front. Some of the frame corner joints have also separated and may benefit from professional re-gluing/repair.
I have deliberately left the original frame and backing as they are rather than replacing or altering original components.
No separate COA is included. Please examine all photographs carefully. I am happy to provide additional photographs or information to serious buyers.
