Gray Matter TEST PRESSING Minor Threat Dischord RARE
DESCRIPTION: This is a mint condition test pressing of the classic DC Hardcore LP, "Food for Thought" by Gray Matter.  Dischord Records, (Dischord No. 48), Washington, DC, 1990. "Food for Thought" was originally released in 1985 on R&B (Rich & Bert) Records Dischord Records   This test pressing was intended for radio stations and fanzines, but was never sent out. Record is in its original plastic-lined thin paper sleeve, with "48" handwritten in upper right-hand corner to denote Dischord No. 48. Record itself has blank labels on both sides.  
CONDITION / PROVENANCE:  This test pressing is in absolutely mint condition, and has never, ever been played.  Even though it has been kept in a plastic sleeve away from light and dust for the last 19 years, the nice plastic-lined thin paper sleeve did somehow get noticeably bent/wrinkled in one corner (see photo).  If your definition of mint condition means that the paper sleeve must also be in pristine shape, then I guess we have different definitions!  The record itself is in mint condition, no doubt about that.  This test pressing is unconditionally guaranteed to be original, from 1990.  It comes from my (Jeff Nelson - Minor Threat/Dischord Records) punk archives, which are being downsized after continuing to be described as "too big" and "insane" or containing "more than my potential kids or grandkids will ever want."  Please see my auction for lots of other punk/hardcore flyers and records as well as other jetsam I'll be putting up for sale......
