Government Issue GIs 7" TEST PRESSING Dischord #4 MINT
DESCRIPTION: Mint condition Test Pressing of "Legless Bull" 10-song 7" EP by Government Issue (GIs). Dischord Records No. 4, 1981. This is the first record ever put out by the GIs. Yellow test pressing labels from United Record Pressing (which means that Nashville Record Productions who we did the record through must have farmed out the work), same as on other early Dischord 7" test pressings. In original white paper sleeve. Record is completely mint, never having been played. I wrote "GIs" in blue magic marker on one side of paper sleeve when I got it from the pressing plant in 1981. There were only 1,000 copies of the actual record pressed, and that is already a very hard record to find. There were probably 50 test pressings made, so this record is FAR scarcer than the actual record.

CONDITION / PROVENANCE: This test pressing is in mint condition, and has been kept in its original paper sleeve and then inside a plastic sleeve away from light and dust for the last 28 years. The record has never been played. This record is unconditionally guaranteed to be original, from 1981. It comes from my (Jeff Nelson - Minor Threat/Dischord Records) punk archives, which are being downsized after continuing to be described as "too big" and "insane" or containing "more than my potential kids or grandkids will ever want."
