Description
These tapes were acquired by me in 1987 whilst I was signed to CBS songs. I was recording at their studio in London and they were clearing out a tape store room. Dumping hundreds of these quarter inch master tapes into a skip before setting fire to them. I was allowed to take some of these, to save them from destruction. I have played these quarter inch master tapes and the sound quality is stunning, sounding very different to the compressed and re-equalised production masters. All these tapes have been stored by me since 1987 in perfect storage conditions.
For Sale Glitter Band's Greatest Hits RARE chance to own master/ production master copies of Glitter Band's Greatest Hits. There are 3 tapes included in this sale: One is an original master tape of side one from the Greatest Hits album. The other two are sides one and two production masters which are the copy tapes made specifically to cut the records from, compressed and re-equalised. The boxes obviously show signs of age but the contents are superb.
