Gil Melle on Blue Note 1517
This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Gil Melle “Patterns in Jazz” on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP 1517. The flat rim playing surface on Side 1 has three inaudible scuffs on Track 1 and an inaudible hairline on Track 2, with two or three unrelated non-repetitive light tics; otherwise, the rest of Side 1 and the entirety of Side 2 are as new, with a high luster. The coated Lexington Avenue frame cover is in extraordinary condition – bright and clean throughout – with just ¼” split on the bottom seam, at the opening and slight wear along the right edge of the back slick.
