Description

This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Gil Melle “Patterns in Jazz” on the Lexington Ave. labels of Blue Note BLP 1517. The flat-rim playing surface has a few light inaudible surface marks while still retaining a high luster; pressed slightly off-center that does not affect sound quality; perhaps played once or twice. The coated Lexington Ave. frame cover is clean throughout; 1” split on the top seam, at the opening; small adhesive stain in the upper right corner of the front; 1 ¼” stain on the back slick; neat, almost imperceptible, repair to a split on the bottom seam; neat 2 ½” repair at the top of the spine.
