Description

This auction is for a very rare original George Shearing - Lou Rawls Open-End Interview Capitol Compact 33 EP Record (PRO 2262/2263) – including the original sleeve.


This is one of the rare open end interview records hardly ever seen, and a must-have for serious collectors.

Record Condition:

The vinyl I would rate is in VG (Very Good) condition, if not better. With some hairline marks visible under a bright light. The labels are clean, showing minimal wear.


Sleeve Condition:

I would rate the sleeve as at least VG (Very Good), if not better. Aside from minor wear (as shown in the photos), the sleeve is in nice overall condition


  • No seam splits
  • No writing
  • No stickers


It would be very difficult to find a better example of this rare Open-End Interview record and sleeve!

 Provenance:


This record was previously owned by Jack Wagner, a Capitol Records employee who produced various records during his time at the label. I purchased this record, along with several other rare promo/interview records, directly from a close family member of Jack Wagner’s.
