So... in late-1979, retail stores around the country returned nearly a million unsold copies of this album to Warner Brothers for a refund. Warners deleted the title from it's catalog and marked each cover (either with a saw-mark or cut corner). The album was then re-shipped to retail stores and placed in the discount (or 'cut-out') bins. The new cut-out marks on the covers prevented retail stores from returning the discounted copies for a full-price refund. That's why nearly every copy you see of this album has a cut-out mark. The only copies that don't have a cut-out mark were purchased from a store within the first few months of release. And that's what makes this copy so incredibly rare -- it's an UNOPENED, UNCUT copy. That means that someone was enough of a George Harrison fan to rush out and buy the album when it first came out BUT... never opened it! How many instances like this could there be?
