Stax 702 GUS CANNON Walk Right In
1963 LP
Rare as hens teeth Stax album recorded in 1963 by veteran singer/ banjo and jug player recorded in the wake of the success of the Rooftop Singers' bit hit with Gus's song Walk Right In which Gus had recorded in 1929. He was still an entertaining performer accompanied by Will Shade on jug and Milton Robey on washboard. Gus does 12 songs and a three minute narration where he reminisces about his life. Apparently only 500 copies of the LP were pressed and only distributed in Memphis area which is why it is so rare today.

Disc is VG … minor wear and surface noise and occasional pops
Cover is VG- … Some wear, fading and creasing. Top and bottom seams are partially split and bottom split has been repaired with Scotch tape.

MINT (M)
The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The jacket and any extra items are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX)
The record shows signs of having been played but there is negligible loss in sound quality. The jacket may have slight wear or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG)
The record has been played many times but shows no significant deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks. Normal wear and tear on the jacket, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G)
The record has been played enough that the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably and may have light pops and skips. The jacket may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits or discoloration.
FAIR (F)
The record is playable but was not properly cared for and plays with extensive surface noise overriding sound and may skip considerably. The jacket may be torn, stained or defaced.
BAD (B)
The record is unplayable and probably broken and is only of use as a collection filler.
