Description
This is an extremely rare white label promo 45 by the G.T.O.'s or Girls Together Outrageously, that was released as ST 104 on the Straight label on September 29, 1969. The B-side, "Mercy's Tune", has never been released on album or CD and is only available on this 45. Both sides were produced and arranged by Lowell George although the album credits Frank Zappa as producer of "Circular Circulation" which was probably the case. Lowell George wrote the music on both songs and contributed some nice guitar. I'm not positive who in particular played on both of these tracks but The GTO's were Miss Pamela (Pamela "I'm With The Band" Des Berras, Miss Christine, Miss Sandra, Miss Cinderella, Miss Mercy, and Sparky. Others that played on their only LP release were: Nicky Hopkins, Jeff Beck Group, and members of the Mothers Of Invention.
This 45 is about as close to mint as you are likely to find. I just played it and doubt that it has ever been played before. There were a couple of clicks before it started and after it ended. The only other flaw is on the B-side. Someone (probably the program director at the radio station) wrote after G.T.O.'s in ink -NO! This should be visible in the scan.
