Hi, my name is Brian and I have been collecting vinyl for many years. My main interest has been PROGRESSIVE especially the VERTIGO SWIRL/SPIRAL LABEL, reputed to be the most collectable label in the world?

I have finally finished my SWIRL collection of over 160 albums of which most are UK pressings, and now I am going to SELL them ( I must be mad ). I have been quite fussy about the QUALITY, CONDITION and they must be the VERY FIRST PRESSINGS. The latter has been the hardest to decipher and has had me buying and selling many copies of the same album to achieve this,and I almost have with these collectable gems.

I am not and have never been a 'dealer' by profession, but I have always given honest descriptions and lots of clear photo's of any items I have sold. I do know how disappointing it is when you open that package and the item has been over sold with expressions such as "AWESOME" etc when the item is only in EX- condition or worse. If you are in anyway disappointed with an item from me you are most welcome to return it with a FULL REFUND, providing it is an honest and just mistake by myself as I believe in my descriptions.

For sale here is--GRAVY TRAIN--A BALLAD OT A PEACEFUL MAN-- UK ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESSING WITH VERY FIRST PRESSING SLEEVE,1971, stereo 6360 051 The 52nd of 87 UK pressings on this label. THE REST WILL FOLLOW!

SLEEVE.....,GATEFOLD and FULLY LAMINATED. This sleeve is mostly found with a dull looking surface and laminate lifting and peeling off, NOT THIS ONE. Thankfully this one has none of these problems. This sleeve is in FANTASTIC condition. It is a GENUINE VERY FIRST PRESSING.This album was never re issued, although there is a more common later UK pressing with the small B-side swirl. This is an out standing copy of this sleeve. The colours are very strong and vibrant LIKE NEW. The edges are EX++ as is the spine and have minimal wear. The front is N/MINT with just one or two spots of  very very light rubbing to this delicate laminated surface and a small amount of creasing down the left hand side, NO UNWANTED WRITING, NO STICKER TEARS, NO STICKERS, NO SEEM SPLITS  AND NO STAINING. The rear  is in the same wonderful EX++ condition with NO RINGWEAR. THIS SLEEVE HAS A DEEP GLOSSY SHINE. One of the corners has been bashed causing creasing to the laminate( see photo's). The opening edges have NO FEATHERING and are AS NEW. The spine is FULLY legible and bright. The inner gatefold is in woderful excellent condition, with just one small small area of surface damage and some light 'age spots'. The only other sign of wear ( and it is  extremely minimal) is to the very tips of the corners. This album comes with IT'S OWN ORIGINAL SWIRL INNER SLEEVE in great  condition The inner sleeve is dated 25/06/71, which dates this pressing a couple of months before it's official release date! Which can only suggest that this album was pressed and packaged and waiting for the release date in a warehouse.A GENUINE DEFINITIVE FIRST UK PRESSING. All in all this is in wonderful condition for a 35year old sleeve.

LABELS......This is a genuine first pressing. THIS ALBUM HAS THE EXTREMELY RARE LARGE B-SIDE SWIRL( HAVE YOU EVER SEEN ONE OF THESE BEFORE) The A-side label is almost MINT, the B-side label has some small 'age spots' but otherwise EX++ there are only one or two spindle marks. Really nice and REALLY RARE....

VINYL....Both sides of this fantastic album still have their JUST PRESSED deep black shine. As for surface marks, when you hold this album in the very brightest of lights you can only see a few very light surface marks. In normal daylight this album is PRISTINE. Both sides play WITHOUT SCRATCHES, STICKING OR JUMPS. I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing LINN SONDEK and the sound is UN-WORN, it is full and crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage and stereo seperation.This is a superb album in the most wonderful of conditions. This really is a top copy that any collector would be delighted to add to their collection, a real KEEPER . ( the very, very few dust crackles could probably be removed by a professional clean ) EX++/EX++."STUNNING"

 GETTING IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION. IT IS RARE IN THIS 'SUPERB' CONDITION.DONT MISS THIS ONE.

THERE CANT BE MANY LEFT IN THIS LOVELY CONDITION. 

AND IT HAS GOT THE MEGA RARE LARGE B-SIDE SWIRL!!!
