Description

I have seen a few of these over the years but never one that was still sealed and in immaculate NM condition!
These recordings were made during the Acid Tests and are mostly comprised of zaniness with Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters and The Grateful Dead. It is fairly well recorded and is a great time capsule of psychedia history. There are not really any songs per se on this record, just some loose jams amongst the wackinesss. Each side starts with a brief recollection of that time by Jerry Garcia.

Notes

San Franciso State College October 1st - 2nd, 1966.
The Acid Test recording is interspersed with short interview segments with Ken Kesey and Jerry Garcia taken from a 1980 Tomorrow Show.

This fan club album is not intended for sale,
commercial distribution or air play is available exclusively from the United Fan Club Society, Goteborg, Sweden.

No artists are credited on the LP front cover.
Notes on rear sleeve includes these credits:
"..by the time they get all the wiring hooked up, and start rapping, Neal Cassady with a microphone inside the hall - introducing KEN KEEEEE-ZEEEEEE it is about 4 A.M. ... Kesey [Ken Kesey] there ... with an electric guitar ... rapping poetry into the microphone... Assisting Ken from the gym were Hugh Romney and Wavy Gravy (voices); Dale Kesey (violin); Jerry [Jerry Garcia] (guitar and organ); and Steve Newman, Ken Babbs, and Mountain Girl [Carolyn Garcia (2)] (engineers). That's Jerry and Mountain Girl on the back cover."
According to this Merry Pranksters discography the album was from the US despite the sleeve claiming that it comes from Sweden.
