Overview:

GOATMOON's compositions offer a wide range of Scandinavian black metal from melodic passages with pagan / folk elements to hard hitting, no frills heavy metal. The captivating songs will plague the mind like a disease without a cure. GOATMOON's sole member, Blackgoat Gravedesecrator, demonstrates his musical expertise on all instruments heard. Perfectly executed drumming with layers of electric and acoustic guitar work crowned by harsh screams.

RIDE FOR REVENGE weaves a web of hypnotic and ritualistic minimalistic black metal. The song structures are largely rhythm based with repetitive mid paced percussion and extremely heavy bass in the forefront causing a trance like effect on the listener. The occasional use of synthesizer adds to the overall murky sound. Although present, guitars play little role and are used in the background to create heaviness and, at times, atmosphere. Chanted vocals range from dirty growls to clean moans and are drenched in reverb / delay and complete the cold ambiance achieved on this recording.
