Description
GISM - DETESTation LP on Dogma / City Rocker Records. The vinyl and sleeve are both in fantastic shape, maybe the cleanest copy out there, if not it's at least one of them, the poster insert is slightly discolored from age, and the band picture side has a small (like the size of a capital D) stain. I bought this from reputable seller kazun0503, check his page and ratings, he doesn't sell junk. If you want shipping insurance or a better shipping service please contact for price specifics after bidding ends. I will do my best to make the shipping price match the actual cost, I don't want to rip you off but I also don't want to lose money. Payment due within 5 days of end of auction. International bidders please contact for shipping price before bidding. Thanks for looking! "Churning Metal-punk, or perhaps even speed-metal, depending on where you draw the distinction. GISM are undoubtebly an HM band who've been heavily influenced by hardcore, but the music is so intense and the vocals so ominous that even I'm in a state of shock. These guys make VENOM sound like the KNACK, especially on side 1"(JB, Maximum Rock 'n Roll 1984) "G.I.S.M.’s “Detestation” lp is one of those records that is nearly impossible to judge in a vacuum. Its been subject to 25 solid years of mythologizing and collector worship. Its one of the few records that can still get an extreme reaction from people listening to it for the first time so long after it was first conceived. It’s one of the harshest most brutalizing rock records ever made. It’s also one of the strangest. It’s a landmark intersection point for punk, hardcore, and metal, doing its something to muddy up the gene pool of each. “Greater than the sum of its parts” is not even the half of things here. People who know G.I.S.M.’s music already know all about this, and those who don’t can’t really understand what it’s all about until hearing them." (CC Bidhardcore.com 2008)
