FORMED AFTER supergroup Blind Faith had imploded. Airfroce was again lauded as another mini supergroup with several Blind Faith refugee's that included Ric Grech and Stevie Winwood together with some of Baker's early contemporaries such as Graham Bond and bassist Phil Seaman. The band's penchant for wild musical exploration was only partially successful and the unit fell apart before album #2 could be completed. Baker recruited several more players to fill the gaps, resulting in this album.
Musically its a real pot purri of twisted influences mixing elements of bog standard prog, rural rock, experimental jazz and weird semi spoken word/rap tracks...highly influenced I would say by Graham Bond and his incessant need to keep pushing forward into areas that most would fear to tread. Actually, the sound here is closest to Traffic at their most adventurous. I actually love this album but that's because I spent a lot of time getting into it as a teenager and it reminds me of all those wasted nights spent locked in my room with the headphones cranked up very loud thinking about the Girl's in my class.

Cover: No visible signs of use. Issued in a beautifully designed gatefold cover - retains full printers bloom. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, square and totally uncrushed. Just a hint of handling. Impossible to find like this after 53 years. Grades as archive MINT!
