GEORGES ARVANITAS TRI0 – IN CONCERT – FUTURA RECORDS – "MINT" – TEST PRESSING
Test pressing with plain white labels of original 1969 and 1970 French stereo recordings for Futura Records. Stamped matrix nos. – side I "FUT. ST. 2007A"; side II " FUT. ST. 2007B" . Original Futura gatefold sleeve entitled – "Georges Arvanitas Trio in Concert", catalogue no. GER 11. This was the debut album of French jazz pianist and organist, Georges Arvanitas, a pillar of the French jazz scene who later recorded more than 25 albums. Trio: Georges Arvanitas (piano), Jacky Samson (basse), Charles Saudrais (drums). All arrangements by Georges Arvanitas – Side I: Sixiéme Sens, Colchique Dans Les Prés, Side II: Ah! Le Chat (dedicated to Charlie Parker), Indian.
The disc has an unplayed appearance. We have not played it to preserve its almost certain mint condition. The plain white labels have "FACE 1" and "FACE 2" and, "2007" handwritten, (see photos). The commercial Futura French gatefold sleeve is intact but has badly creased corners and record impress. Inside sleeve is faded and grubby. All text is in French.
