GEORGE WALLINGTON QUINTET "AT THE BOHEMIA" LP - On Progressive Records, PLP 1001. Original MONO pressing with the classic Red & White labels. The label is Deep Groove on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick laminated cardboard cover. Amazing jazz set recorded at the Cafe Bohemia, New York, N.Y., September 9, 1955. The personnel: George Wallington/piano; Jackie McLean/alto sax; Donald Byrd/trumpet; Paul Chambers/bass; Art Taylor/drums. The vinyl is in mostly VG+ to VG++ condition (beautiful gloss) with some light marks. There are, however, a few small scratches which may tick softly behind the music (more noticeable in one quieter passage), but don't affect play to any serious degree (no jumps or skips). Disc plays great otherwise. Labels are super clean. The thick laminated cover displays nicely with vivid colors. Minor 1" split by top right seam. There is some normal wear at corner tips. NO cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. The songs are: Johnny One Note; Sweet Blanche; Minor March; Snakes; Jay Mac's Crib; Bohemia After Dark; The Peck.~ See my other eBay auctions of similar collectible LPs!! ~
