Description

George Harrison 1971 UK Apple STCH 639 **ALL THINGS MUST PASS**.
This is the real deal being a first pressing with all 1-U matrices for the six sides of the three discs.
Not only that, this offering has the 'Made In Great Britain' box which was only issued with the initial runs of this album.
Plus the poster is included as are the colour inner sleeves with lyrics.
So, the poster is large as shown, is clean and has never seen a wall or door in my opinion. Of course has fold creases as to be expected but overall I rate it 9 /10 for condition.
The box has a hinged top and is in pretty solid nick with clean and sound insides, back, sides and corners (normally these boxes are the worse for wear). Only detrimental thing I can really say about it is the front has the beginning of some age browning and there is a hint of a (faint and hardly noticeable) sticker tear top right. I give the box 9.5 /10 for physical soundness and 8.5 /10 for cosmetic blemishes.
Now for the three bespoke inner sleeves which have always been the manufactured weak spot of this album. I'd report that all are in great clean shape except some of the edges have been subject to 'knifing' by the discs over time, although some sides and bottoms are intact. Remedial use of invisible tape will cure this but I'll leave it to another to do. Further, the sleeves are made of firm paper with no polythene lining so in light of all of the above I've kept the vinyls in separate poly sleeves for enhanced protection and I'll pack and ship them likewise.
Looking at the clean labels I can't see evidence of much or if any play (I've only ever kept this album on the shelf in my collection). Certainly the third vinyl 'Apple Jam' has a pressing wax whisker still in the spindle hole so is probably virgin?  I don't know so let's just say the discs have had minimal play to err on the safe side.
All three records are flat and shiny. Respectively, discs 1, 2 and 3 weigh 125g, 126g and 112g as measured on my digital scale.
In room daylight at the window they look fine. Under the evil and all-knowing table light I see some light scuffs and hairlines, incurred in my opinion by being stored for nearly five decades in the inner sleeves before I got to them several years ago!  That said I'm going to give the vinyls 8.5 /10 for visual condition.
99p start, free UK postage and discounted to anywhere else. Note the auction will run to the end.
