Description

I already have a copy of this great album and so am letting this very good example go at a low starting price.

This is a first UK pressing of Trespass with the original fully-textured E.J Day sleeve with the 1st press pink scroll labels. It also includes the original lyric sheet.

It has the following first press matrix numbers:

  • Side 1: CAS 1020 A-2U     1    
    Side 2: CAS 1020 B-2U     1    

    Detailed description
  • Sleeve: The fully-textured gatefold sleeve is particularly hard to find looking really nice, this is among the best examples I've come across. It is nice and clean but with a few detracting areas. 1. There is a name written in the top right corner of the front sleeve (shown in photo). 2. There is a name written in the bottom left corner of the back sleeve (shown in photo). 3. There is a small sticker tear on the top left corner of the front sleeve (shown in photo). Other than this the sleeve is lovely. Inside the gatefold has virtually no marks and looks really great.
  • Edge wear: top/opening/opposite edge/spine/bottom: moderate/moderate/moderate/moderate/moderate.
  • Corner wear: moderate
  • Inner sleeve: Plain
  • Other inserts: The lyric sheet is in superb condition. It has a slight crease at the bottom, approx 1cm from the edge running across the length.
  • Labels: Both labels look great with absolutely no signs of damage, writing, stickers etc and just typical spindle marking.
  • Vinyl: The vinyl has retained its original high sheen. Both sides show a few hairlines, scuffs and marks but nothing significant that effects play. This copy plays back very well with only a small amount of background noise and very few clicks or pops. Inevitably, for a record of this age there was some background noise in the quiet parts and the run-ins/outs, fades, silent grooves and intros. I listened to this using my Linn LP12 and NAIM set up and can honestly say I was suprised at how good this record sounds.
