Description
Simply put this is a brilliant first American pressing on the pink & white original Charisma label. Fantastically preserved, featuring the original textured covers, and gate-fold cover. Includes the original white sleeve. Released in 1972 this was a land mark release not only for Genesis but for progressive rock in general at that time. The labels are near mint, clean and well preserved. The vinyl retains its original luster, slightly scuffed with a few dead wax superficial scratches. Play tested and these early pressings simply sounded much more vibrant than later reissues. You will feel engulfed in the Genesis experience when playing this album. The cover is in VG++ condition, well preserved, a few light scuff marks along the spine, ever so gentle corner wear from storage. Otherwise it looks and feels fantastic! An essential purchase indeed.
