Artist/Group: GENESIS Title: MANY TOO MANY Format: 7" Single Record Label: Philips Catalogue no. 6079 464 Country of origin: Barbados Track listing: Many Too Many c/w Follow You Follow Me Condition (Inner/Outer): EX+/VG+ Description: This was a tough one to grade; so please read the description carefully and then you'll understand why I've graded the record as EX+. It was a little dusty on both sides when I got it, so I gently wiped the surface with a damp (soft) cloth and after having tilted it up and down in bright sunlight, I reached the conclusion that although the record has been played a fair number of times (evident from the wear on both labels), there is only the mildest hint of wear to surface; the odd faint mark and one or two tiny scratches, but no scuff marks and it is my firm belief that if the record were gently cleaned with a suitable proprietary fluid, then given a wipe with an anti-static fluid, you could probably upgrade it to near mint. Unfortunately, there probably isn't much you can do about the labels, but the record could definitely be improved with cleaning (looks pretty good even under normal light). Sleeve is just a little bit tatty with minor wear, but heh! It's the original issue! Comments: Unusual combination, especially as the 'hit' single is relegaded to the B-side. Is this the rarest single from the Collins era? Possibly, I only know of one other copy in existence and even if a few more copies have survived over the years, you don't know what condition they might be in. My guess is only a handful have survived and so yes, this could well be the rarest single from the Collins era.
